18 Days Uganda Gorilla safari takes you to some of the most visited national parks in Uganda. Explore the attractions that make Uganda a unique tourist destination and add to your bucket list.

Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable which is home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, trek through the bamboo forest of Mgahinga in search of the golden monkeys.

Detailed Itinerary for the 10 Days Mount Rwenzori

Day 1 Transfer to Mt Rwenzori national park

After an early breakfast, our guide will drive you to western Uganda to Kasese. Check in your lodge for dinner and overnight. (B.L.D)

Day 2 Nyakalengiji to Nyabitaba Hut

Arrive at Rwenzori Mountaineering Service (RMS) offices Nyakalengija and go through orientation. Pass through the Bakonjo homesteads, reach the gate and enter the park. Move under canopies of trees hearing sounds of the wild. Expect to spot bushbucks, giant forest hogs, chimpanzees, rare three-horned chameleon and a variety of bird species. Cross rivers Kyoho and Mahoma, move along the panga ridge for an overnight at Nyabitaba camp in the forest zone.

Day 3 Nyabitaba to John Maate hut

Slope to River Mubuku, Bujuku confluence, hike through the bamboo zone, have lunch at Nyamuleju old camp. Continue for an overnight at John Maate camp in the heather zone.

Day 4 John Matte to Bujuku hut

After breakfast slope and cross Bujuku river, crossing the lower and upper big bogs on walk boards. Move along Lake Bujuku, get the breathtaking views of; Mountains Baker, Stanley, and Speke in the south, west, and north respectively. Dinner and overnight at Bujuku camp.

Day 5 Bujuku to Elena hut

After breakfast, you will Cross Bujuku bog, climb the ladders atop akendege, hike further for an overnight at Elena hut.

Day 6 Elena hut-Margherita peak – Kitandara

Wake up at 4:00 am, cross Stanley plate and a top Margherita peak on Mount Stanley. Slope back to Elena hut, after lunch slope further for an overnight at Kitandara camp.

Day 7 Descend to Gae Yeoman

Hike to fresh field pass, slope through kabamba cave, cross Mubuku river. Dinner and overnight at Guy yeoman camp.

Day 8 Slope to Nyabitaba hut

Move through swamps, slope kitsutsu rock, cross kitsutsu river repeatedly and overnight at Nyabitaba camp; or slope further and be out of the park in the evening.

Day 9 Descend to Nyakalegiji- Kasese

Slope in the morning and be out of the park by 11:00 am and transfer to Kasese for hot lunch. Relax at your lodge rest of the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge. (BLD)

Day 10 Departure – Entebbe

Have a morning breakfast and then check out of your lodge. Bid farewell to the land of the snow-capped Mountains with great memories of Mt. Rwenzori trekking. Transfer to Entebbe Via Kampala for a shopping spree at the African craft market on Buganda road. Later drive to the airport in time to catch your flight back home.
