12 Days Uganda Luxury wildlife & primate safari is one of the most fulfilling safaris where you discover Northern and Western Uganda with its beautiful scenery. You will get to tour around the Murchison falls forest national park, Queen Elizabeth National Park etc.
Entebbe or Kampala
Upon arrival, you will be met by the big5 Adventures Uganda Safari’s guide who will transfer you to the hotel for your overnight stay at Lake Heights Hotel (BB).
Early after breakfast, you will begin your day with a transfer to Murchison falls National park.
Drive through Luweero and have a stopover at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary in order to trek the black and white Rhinos. The sanctuary was established so as to re-introduce and protect the Rhinos from poachers.
Later proceed to Murchison falls with a stopover in Masindi for lunch. Drive to the top of the falls as you see the Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge pouring down with a thunderous roar. Check in to your Lodge for dinner and overnight at Paraa Safri Lodge (BLD).
Very early after breakfast, you will take a ferry and cross to the Northern part of the Park where most game drives are done. Expect to see a variety of wildlife species like Leopards, Lions, Hyenas, Elephants, Buffalos, Giraffes, Antelopes and many more.
Also, to see are bird species like the Uganda woodland warbler, Yellow-billed, grey throated, Shoebill stork, Ituri Batis, the crested cranes and many more species. Cross back to the lodge for Lunch as you get ready for the 3-hour afternoon cruise. You will have the opportunity to see Crocodiles, hippos and almost all the wildlife as they come by to the waters to quench their thirst. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safri lodge (BLD).
The trek begins early in the morning, where you gather at 7 am for a pre-trekking briefing then after you will join the experienced ranger as they guide you to these great apes. Budongo forests boast of very high biodiversity of small animals, Mahogany trees, butterflies, moths, and Chimpanzees. Return to your Lodge for lunch and a relaxed afternoon.
Dinner and overnight in Paraa Safari lodge (BLD).
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and drive towards Kibale. You will be amazed by the stunning views of the rolling hills and tea plantations. Arrive in fort portal which is in the foot of the Rwenzori mountains and stop over for lunch, later continue till you arrive in Kibale one of the great rainforests in Africa. Check in to your Lodge for dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge (BLD).
After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters to be briefed by the park rangers about chimpanzee tracking. You will search for the chimpanzees, and on finding them, you will spend an hour observing and taking photographs.
In the evening, you will also enjoy a swamp walk in Bigodi, a place to spot different types of monkeys, wetland mammals such as sitatungas, baboons, and bushbucks. Besides, Bigodi swamp has over 200 species of birds including the great blue turaco, papyrus gonoleks, and flycatchers. Return to the lodge for dinner, and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge (BLD).
After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth national park via Fort portal town and; as you enter the park lookout for some wild animals along the way. Check in your lodge have lunch; later go for an evening game drive to see African elephants, warthogs, antelopes, and buffaloes. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (BLD).
Have an early breakfast before setting out on a game drive expect to see lions, antelopes, elephants, and buffaloes. Later return to your lodge for a hot lunch. After that, enjoy 2 hours thrilling boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, offering you a closer view of wildlife like hippos, buffaloes, and elephants along the shores. Besides, birders are likely to spot over 600 species like; malachite kingfishers, pink-backed pelicans, and saddle-billed stork. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (BLD).
After breakfast, you will check out and drive through the beautiful landscapes as you head to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Expect to see some wildlife as you exit the park. Arrive in the Bwindi forest in the evening, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Clouds Silverback Lodge (BLD).
After an early breakfast, you will head to the briefing area for guidelines about the dos and don’ts while with the mountain gorillas. Rally behind your ranger for this exciting adventure as you hike in the forest. Once you have found them, spend an hour observing and taking pictures. Later in the evening, you will visit the Batwa pygmies in their new communities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Clouds Silverback Lodge (BLD).
In the morning after breakfast, check out of your lodge and bid farewell to the Switzerland of Uganda. Drive to Lake Mburo national park, you will spot some wildlife as you enter the park. Check into your lodge and with an armed ranger, go for a safari on foot. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda where one can enjoy a walking safari. Expect to see Buffaloes, zebras, Topis, and giraffes. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge (BLD).
Take breakfast and check out of your Lodge. This being the final day of the 12 Days Luxury wildlife & Primate Safari, drive back to Entebbe airport in time to catch your flight back home.
