Detailed 4 Days Gorilla Rwanda trekking Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival
On arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, our guide who will meet and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight in Hôtel des Mille Collines. (BB)
Day 2 Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Early morning pick up by our guide for a Kigali city tour. Visit the local markets, Handcraft shops, genocide memorial grounds and later transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Drive through beautiful countryside and later drive to Volcanoes National park the home of the mountain gorillas for overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel. (BLD)
Day 3 Gorilla Trekking and Cultural visit
After early morning breakfast, with packed lunch, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Afterward, rally behind the wardens in search of the gorillas in the forest which may take 2-6 hours. However, the duration of your search will depend on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour. Ascend for a community walk and enjoy the different performances and also explore more about their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel. (BLD)
Day 4 Golden Monkey Trekking.
After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on trekking the golden monkeys. After the briefing, you will head out to the starting point. Rally behind your guide as you track the shy primates. Afterward, return to your Lodge for Lunch, check out and you will be transferred to Kigali for your departure flight.
